Tattooing Viking Age symbols and other tattoos with their roots in history comes with a lot of background research. At VikInk we have an extensive library of rare books on art styles, archaeology and historical background on what we do. The library is situated in the studio so you can have a look at the various books to get inspiration for your tattoo or just have a glimpse of everything related to (Pre)Viking Age archaeology and art styles. We believe that connecting to the past is the best way to decide on what you want for your tattoo. We also have a large online library where you can look through.

Many of the books we keep in the Vik Ink library are very hard to get by. Academic works are often not only rare in print, but also notoriously hard to access in the online realm. We are very proud to have an extensive offline and online library of works to draw inspiration from.

Would you yourself like to start your journey into the various subjects, then we can help you out. We have a large network of academics, artists and other people we would like to recommend
